2. Inspect the UV transmittance value of the Quartz Glass Sleeve

Normally the quartz sleeve transmittance value should be 90% above.

The quartz sleeve is made of quartz, the natural material from the earth, which has the advantages of high purity, special structure.

Transmittance value is the measure of the amount of light that passes through a quartz sleeve. The higher the transmittance value, the better as this means more light is passing through and killing bacteria.

We can use a UV intensity device to check it when the UV lamp is one and put it inside the quartz sleeve.

3. Check the UV chamber polishing quality, and air test that there are no leaks on the unit

In the UV treatment process, most UV systems are scared to be leaking when they are running.

It’s horrible if a leakage in the plumbing system, your end-user clients will give you big complaints.

However, most UV water purifiers manufacturers don’t have this QC process. They just care about production efficiency.

4. Check the UV water sterilizer’s UV Ballast quality

In the UV unit, normally the UV light bulb needs a suitable UV ballast.

The UV ballast is a power supply to connect the UV bulb and electricity, once the UV water purifier is installed, the UV lamp will be turned on all the time, and no need to switch off.

So the UV ballast could be high quality to be sure the UV lamp always works well.

We could check the voltage and current of UV ballast when we test it, and also need to check if have a light alarm or sound alarm functions.

5. Testing water quality

Water quality is key to determining if your UV sterilizer will work properly! We recommend testing the water with a virus test device after using it.
